Call to improve the cycle network

Lib Dems in Cheltenham are pressuring the authorities to improve the cycle network in the town.

Borough Councillor Max Wilkinson has set up an action group to investigate what the town is doing right and wrong.

Liberal Democrats on the county council are also working hard to promote cycling and have tabled a motion about parking facilities and cycle routes.

Max said: “Cycling isn’t just for people who want to win the Tour de France, it’s often the most convenient way to get around town. It’s healthy and helps reduce congestion and pollution as well, which is a great bonus.”
