All Saints Road Crossing Petition

Councillor Alex Hegenbarth is supporting calls from local residents for something to be done to make All Saints Road safer.

Alex has launched a petition calling on the Conservative-run County Council to introduce a pedestrian crossing point by the junction with All Saints Villa Road.

When residents have written to the County Council calling for such a crossing point in the past, the County Council claim that a crossing point is not worth the money as the area has been considered low risk.

Alex said “Waiting for someone to potentially get killed before taking action on an increasingly busy stretch of road is the wrong approach, and I ask everyone to join my campaign to make the area safer."

The Petition

We, the signatories, call on Gloucestershire County Council to begin the formal process required to introduce a pedestrian crossing on All Saints Road to help improve pedestrian safety and to act as a traffic-calming measure for an increasingly busy stretch of road.
