Liberal Democrats are calling on Cheltenham’s Member of Parliament Alex Chalk to urge his government to publish the 50 studies commissioned on the impact of Brexit that have been kept from Parliament and the public.
These studies have been paid for by the British taxpayer. They should be shared with the people who paid for them.
Cheltenham Liberal Democrat councillor, Flo Clucas said ““It is clearly in the public interest to know what government experts think Brexit will look like. It’s time that Alex Chalk put party loyalty aside and put the interests of Cheltenham’s residents and businesses first.
“Why is the government so afraid of publishing these reports. Is it because they would reveal that an extreme Brexit deal will be a disaster for Cheltenham and for the wider economy?”
