Liberal Democrat parliamentary spokesperson for Cheltenham Max Wilkinson has congratulated DEYA Brewing Company on its success after a visit to the business.
The business, based on the Lansdown Industrial Estate, expanded into a larger premises before the pandemic and continues to thrive.
Councillor Max Wilkinson and Cheltenham Mayor Councillor Steve Harvey met Theo Freyne, DEYA founder, and Ben Woodliffe Taproom Operative and Sustainability Officer, for a tour of the site. They enjoyed an overview of the production process, insight into the company’s branding and (of course) a beer tasting.
Max said: “DEYA is a huge Cheltenham success story. From fairly small beginnings on an industrial estate, the company is now clearly thriving and selling beer to all parts of the UK – as well as exports.
“It was fascinating to hear more about the beer making process and learn about the company’s values. I’d like to thank Theo and Ben for the tour and I look forward to visiting again soon.”
Theo said: “It was brilliant to have Max and Steve to the brewery and give them some background on us as a company and our process... Max is very in tune with promoting local businesses and Cheltenham as a town, with a specific focus on sustainability, so it was great to make that connection.”
Max is always keen to hear from local businesses. Email [email protected] if you’d like to invite him to visit.
