Manifesto Launch 2018
Cheltenham Liberal Democrats are today publishing their manifesto for the 2018 Cheltenham Borough Council elections.
Highlights from the manifesto include:
- a commitment to a £100 million house-building programme to help families and young people who live and work in the town.
- a promise to invest over £3 million in our town centre to make it a vibrant, attractive place for shoppers and local businesses alike
- a call to bring our roads back under local authority control so that we fix the potholes and can introduce 20mph speed limits where residents demand them.
Steve Jordan, Leader of Cheltenham Borough Council, said, "Over the past 10 years, we have chalked up an excellent record of maintaining and improving local services, while keeping the Borough’s share of council tax as low as possible. This manifesto shows that we still have vision and passion for our town and are committed to making Cheltenham a better place for all. We urge residents to vote for this positive vision at the local elections on May 3rd."
