We, the undersigned, call on Gloucestershire County Council to conduct an urgent and independent review of traffic congestion on Shurdington Road.
It is clear there are significant traffic congestion problems on Shurdington Road, which will only worsen as new housing developments and new or expanding local schools increase traffic in the area. Residents are increasingly left stranded in queues or trapped on their driveways. Idling cars contribute to dangerous air pollution. This cannot continue. Congestion will only worsen unless GCC act NOW.
Despite frequent complaints, GCC are avoiding the inevitable. Gloucestershire County Council must tackle this challenge now before it further impacts our quality of life.
