We, the undersigned, call on Gloucestershire County Council to create a zebra crossing on Wellington Road between Evesham Road and Pittville Circus.
For years now, residents of Wellington Road, Pittville Lawn, Pittville Circus and Evesham Road have been requesting a crossing on this dangerous section of road. Cars speed along this stretch of road and the road is often very busy. The traffic needs to be calmed because this stretch of road is inherently dangerous. There are always lots of people crossing the road to get to the park and there is always the risk of children or dogs running out of the park onto the road.
Most recently, on the 13th of January, a man was hit by a car and received a head injury. How many more accidents do there need to be?
