We’ve spoken directly with the council, who have confirmed that both areas are officially designated as Local Green Space, meaning they are protected from development.

The council has also explained that situations like this arise from time to time. Often, companies try to sell small parcels of land in the hope of making a quick profit — but in reality, these sales rarely lead to any change, as the land is not suitable for development.
